COhatch– a new kind of shared work, social, and family space built on community– is slated to celebrate the grand opening of its third location at the site of the former Gazette building, 18 E. William St. in downtown Delaware, on February 16th.
“We fell in love with Delaware,” said Matt Davis, co-founder of COhatch. “Delaware aligns perfectly with our mission to help community members live their ideal lives in the communities they care about.”
Dubbed The Newsstand, CoHatch Delaware intends to provide a foothold for burgeoning businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs. It boasts the space, time, and place for its members to host events, hold meetings both casual and formal, and to create lasting personal and professional relationships, without the crippling initial costs that such pursuits typically entail.
The Newsstand houses approximately 30 private offices, 20 dedicated desks, and more than 50 spaces to co-work, as well as conference rooms, well-suited to off-site company meetings, which will be open to the community.
The Newsstand features a café, game room, patio, a kitchen, a full-fledged theatre room, which includes a 130-inch 4K screen, as well as a game room, a pinball machine, Pac Man, and more, all amenities designed to appeal to members and the local community at large. Even further, COhatch proffers Wi-Fi, fax/mail services, event hosting, guest reception, meeting spaces, makers spaces, maker markets, educational workshops, lounges and common spaces.
On Saturday, Feb. 16, The Newsstand will host a 1920’s Speakeasy-themed grand opening event featuring live jazz, a photo booth, old movies, complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres from 6-10 p.m.
